It’s nearly 8 a.m. in Malawi, but Thunder fan Mark Kawanga isn’t just getting up. He’s been glued to the TV for two hours already, enjoying the rare treat of getting to watch his Thunder play.
Katanga, who frequently finds fellow fans to talk Thunder Basketball with over Twitter, posted the other day about how excited he was to see tonight’s game.
In a follow-up email after that tweet, Kawanga said this about why he’s a Thunder fan:
Thanks very
much, I really enjoy watching the Oklahoma City Thunder. Everything
about the team amazes me. The name of the City is the best among all
the Cities in the world, the beauty of the City, the enthusiasm of its fans, the magnificence of the court, the splendidness of the jerseys & last but not least the effort from the players night in, night out. Would like to visit the Chesapeake Energy Arena & watch the
team play one day. Relished game 1 of the NBA finals, I can never get
tired watching that game. Was disappointed to see the team lose the
next games of the Championship Series but I am hopeful this will be
our year. Oklahoma City Thunder up!!
Sounds like a Thunder fan through and through. Mark, if you ever get your wish and make it to Oklahoma City for a game, let us know – we’d love to meet you. In the meantime, we hope you enjoyed tonight’s (this morning’s) game!
