Just a little patience

We always encourage our fans to arrive early to Thunder games, but especially during the Playoffs, when we love to have a full house as our team takes the floor for the first time.

Tonight, though, arriving early might be a little tougher for some fans than usual.

Between setup for tomorrow’s OKC Memorial Marathon, the OKC Arts Festival, a baseball game in Bricktown and – of course – the first Thunder game of the 2012 NBA Playoffs, downtown and Bricktown are going to be packed, and traffic will be much more difficult to navigate.

Particularly tonight, we encourage you to leave lots of extra time as you come to Chesapeake Energy Arena or to Love’s Thunder Alley for the game, and to be prepared for some additional street closures.

Just don’t let the traffic keep you from being excited, loud and full of Thunder pride!
