UPDATE 5/23: Starting with the Western Conference Finals, Love’s Thunder Alley will only be open prior to the game, and games will not be broadcast on the LED screen outside of the arena. For more info, please CLICK HERE.

During the Playoffs, every fan wants to be close to where the action is. During Thunder home games, this means getting in – or at least near – Chesapeake Energy Arena. For fans who want to get excited for the game before they make their way into the arena or for fans just looking to be part of the fun atmosphere, Love’s Thunder Alley is the place to be.
For the third consecutive season, our crew is converting Reno Ave. into a big pregame party for every Thunder home playoff game. We’re excited to bring you some new features – such as an expanded beer garden and games broadcast on the giant LED screen on the northwest side of the arena – but the basic idea of Thunder Alley remains the same: a family-friendly atmosphere for fans to share in the playoff excitement.
- Love’s Thunder Alley will open up three hours prior to tipoff for every Thunder home game during Playoffs.
- Reno Ave., from E.K. Gaylord Blvd. to Robinson Ave., will be closed down all day on game days for setup.
- Fans will have a chance to purchase food and beverages, including at the Budweiser Beer Garden. You will also be able to pick up our most popular Thunder gear at the merchandise trailer.
- The Thunder Rewards Zone will continue throughout the 2012 NBA Playoffs. For every Thunder home game, fans will have a chance to win or purchase 100 pairs of tickets to that day’s game. Tickets will be awarded with a drawing 90 minutes prior to tipoff. CLICK HERE for details on the Thunder Rewards Zone, presented by Buffalo Wild Wings on Northwest Expressway.
To get the most out of the experience, here are a few dos and don’ts to keep in mind before you head out:
DO: Wear Thunder Blue | Bring the family | Bring the excitement | Bring a lawn chair or blanket to watch the game | Enjoy the inflatable games and other displays | Have a blast!
DON’T: Bring coolers | Forget that this is a family-friendly atmosphere | Leave your lucky shirt at home
If you capture some great moments on film (or whatever the kids are calling it these days), send your favorite game-day pix to artwork@thunder-nba.com – we’d love to see you cheering on your Thunder!
