Thunder (work) gear

Every Thunder staffer has probably heard these questions at least once – “Do you guys wear your Thunder gear all the time? Is everyone in Thunder T-shirts every day?”

Yes and no. While you’ll catch a lot of staffers in Thunder jackets and polos, and while there are noticeably more blue blouses and blue ties on game days, we maintain our dress code – meaning no to the T-shirts and face paint while we’re in the office.

The Fox 25 news had aired a piece last week about Thunder logos and colors as a part of a fashion trend in OKC, and some of the subtler ways of showing Thunder pride that they discuss in that piece have caught on in our office.

Jennifer and Debbie in our community relations office have gotten pedicures together for each round of the Playoffs this year. They were anxious to show off their latest iteration of Thunder toes, literally almost falling over themselves to pose for this picture:

Even though we can only Thunder-ize ourselves so much in this office, other workplaces are encouraging their employees to get even further into the Thunder spirit.

Hertz has told us they have “Thunder Up Days” on game days. Don, one of their VPs, sent us the photo at the top of this post from the Hertz Technology Center in northwest OKC. They are definitely ready for tonight – even finding a way to get their mascot “Horatio” into the spirit.

Are you getting into Thunder fashion? Make sure to send us your best Thunder pix – inside or outside the office – at artwork@thunder-nba.com.
