One thing we’ve found is that just about every single Thunder fan has a good story to tell.
The thing is, we don’t always know how to find these stories.
A lot of fans come to us with a note or a picture telling what a great time they had at a game, or saying how they live in other cities and get compliments on their Thunder gear – things like that. We love getting these stories and pass them around the office.
Through the weird and wonderful world of social media, though, we sometimes stumble upon these stories unexpectedly.
A good example is the couple in this video, Whitney and Cody. Whitney had asked us via Twitter about Thunder Alley for last Wednesday’s game. Turns out, she lives in Dallas, and she and her boyfriend were planning to drive up to OKC, just to hang out in Thunder Alley and watch the game.
We saw later that day that Cody actually surprised Whitney with tickets to the game. We connected with her after a couple of messages over Twitter, and our web crew shot this great video of their experience.
Sometimes, we just don’t know where we’ll find a great Thunder fan story – but we love the unexpected ones like this.
